The only problem with this is that no one, no one at all in the US Senate, is actually proposing anything liberal. You\’ve got cultural Statists on one side and economic Statists on the other. There are no liberals there.

The latest Reason has an article pointing out the similarity between Democrats and Republicans on protectionism. The conclusion being that the politicians have failed so they’re turning to emotive topics where they can whip up ignorance and intolerance for easy votes.
Its sad. I can only hope that whoever becomes president can be sensible – as it stands there’s nobody I’d trust amongst the front runners…
The Americans are going to elect themselves their third dud in a row. It wouldn’t matter much except they’ve long since given up their Constitution and established a huge Imperial power in DC.
I quite liked Bill Clinton, actually.
